Set up Google Workspace integration

Connect Gmail and Calendar from My Settings; required for the Gmail add-on.

Connecting Google Workspace lets your user use RepDesk features that read Gmail and Calendar data your organization allows—subject to Google consent and your company’s policies. Credentials are per user here (not the same screen as company-wide ShipStation or ERP keys).

Where to connect:
https://repdesk.io/my-settingsIntegrationsGoogle Workspace → follow Connect and complete Google’s OAuth consent.

(Video — add later: My Settings → Google Workspace → Connect → Google consent → Connected state.)

Why connect#

  • Calendar — Events can appear in Calendar when sync is enabled for your deployment.

  • Gmail-related workflows — Some automations and CRM context depend on Gmail access where configured.

  • Gmail add-on — Personal Google connection is required before the RepDesk Gmail add-on can show CRM data next to a message.

Company-level integration listings (what the org has turned on) are described in Integrations overview.

(Screenshot — add later: Google Workspace card showing Connected or a clear error message.)

Before you click Connect#

  1. Use the Google account your company expects (often your work @company.com address).

  2. If the button fails with “blocked” or “app not allowed”, your Google Workspace admin may need to allowlist the RepDesk OAuth client or unblock the app—common in locked-down orgs.

  3. After IT approves, retry from My Settings; you usually do not need a RepDesk admin to “flip a switch” for personal Google if the product already shows the card.

After you connect#

  • Permissions you approve in Google are shown in the consent screen—only grant what your role requires.

  • To disconnect or reconnect, use the same Google Workspace card in My Settings (wording may be Disconnect / Reconnect).

Troubleshooting#

Symptom

What to try

Spinner then error

Copy the exact message; check allowlisting with IT.

Wrong calendar

Confirm you connected the same Google account you use in Calendar.

Add-on still empty

Finish this connection first, then reinstall or open the add-on per Gmail add-on.

For platform issues after IT confirms allowlisting, contact support@repdesk.io with your domain and screenshot.
